About

Life has its twists and turns, and just like every living thing, there’s an opportunity to live and another to die. My name is Bryony McCord, I’m a Registered Nurse, certified grief and loss coach, mother of two, and yes, I’m a Widow.

My journey as a certified grief and loss coach began after my husband Willie died of pancreatic cancer in 2018. Through grief and the struggle to find happiness again, I started working on my personal growth, took several certification classes to improve my knowledge, and it has been the best decision of my life.

That alone is an extraordinary achievement. But my greatest reward is the feeling of being able to influence lives positively, helping them build resilience, and reaching their full potential even as a widow.

Before my experience, I have been a registered critical care nurse for over nineteen years, and this has exposed me to selfless service and guidance to a new path. I have found ways to navigate stressful situations while learning how to cope and reach a higher level of wellbeing effectively and as well, enhance my abilities to face future challenges.

Today, I offer to coach for widows—who are ready to get unstuck from the fog and loneliness of widowhood — widows who are prepared to recover from the emotional holes left in their souls after their loss.

As a Certified Widow Coach, my job is to support and encourage you to thrive in life. Focus on solutions while building confidence and resilience towards the storms of life. I completely understand the need to find yourself again. Because I share the similar experience of losing a spouse, I can bring a depth of empathy while giving a little glimpse of my struggles to help provide practical solutions to face grief with optimum happiness and a real purpose.
It is not a comfortable journey, but there’s hope and always a light at the end of the dark tunnel—you deserve that!

I’m a Widow Too

You made me feel safe in my place. I could envision you as my ride or die girlfriend back in the day. I love the fact that you are so matter of fact, so real, and powerful. I admire your wisdom and ambition. Thank you for your devotion to widows.

A Little Bit About Me

I’ve been a nurse in the pediatric ICU for 20 years now, I was even awarded the Pediatric Critical Care Nurse of the Year back in 2014. Taking care of others and make them feel safe it’s what I love the most about my job. So, when I became a widow, it was imperative that I’d help others, too.

My education and certifications include:

  • Trauma Nurse
  • Grief Recovery Specialist
  • Medical Cannabis Nurse
  • Bereavement Group Facilitator

Thank you for having faith and belief in me when I felt so alone. Your dedication meant everything to me, especially during my worst days. I was so inspired by your willingness to “not give up on me.” I wouldn’t have made it this far without you.
P.S. I hope no other group takes our place as “your favorite group”
